Πόλεμος Τοπίων / Guerre des Paysages
Music performance based on the book by Ilias Poulos “Taskendi / Exoristes Mnimes” and on the narrative “Guerre des Paysages” by Dimitris Alexakis, directed by Irène Bonnaud.
After two successful series of performances in Athens (KET, 2017-18) and in the festival Reims Scènes d’Europe (France, La Comédie de Reims, February 2018) and just before its travel to Paris (La Commune CDN Aubervilliers / 15-19 May 2019), the theatrical performance “Πόλεμος Τοπίων / Guerre des Paysages” will be presented for only two nights at KET (Friday/Saturday, 3 & 4 May 2019).
The starting point is the book by Ilias Poulos “Taskendi / Exoristes Mnimes” – based on interviews by soldiers of the Democratic Army who were transferred in October 1949, after the end of the greek civil war, to Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. The second starting point is the narrative “Guerre des Paysages” by Dimitris Alexakis. These two texts are presented on stage for the first time by the french director Irène Bonnaud. Irène Bonnaud created a musical/theatrical performance that is close to poetry, to a concert or to documentary theater.

The premiere of the performance “Πόλεμος Τοπίων / Guerre des Paysages” took place on the 6th of May 2017, as a co-production by KET, La Comédie de Reims, La Commune CDN Aubervilliers and Cie 813, and with the support of the Institut Français de Grèce / French Institute of Greece.
The performance will be presented on 15-19 of May 2019 in Paris (La Commune CDN Aubervilliers theater).
