About

Amid psychedelic sounds, free jazz influences, electronic soundscapes, and reinterpretations of musical traditions, the audiovisual events of “Sound of Color” connect musical improvisation with the visual arts, presenting new, unexpected collaborations every month at KET. Curated by musician Jannis Anastasakis and visual artist Natalia Manta, it has been, for over eleven years now, a vibrant meeting place, deeply rooted in the city’s artistic communities.

The eighth event of the season features Jannis Anastasakis (guitar, analog synths, live electronics), Natalia Manta (live visuals), Anna Linardou (vocals), Harris Lambrakis (ney), Alexis Porfiriadis (piano), and Giorgos Efthimiou (live visuals).

🔷 Anna Linardou explores the versatility of the voice, studying and combining vocal qualities from contemporary, classical, and traditional song, as well as expanded vocal techniques. She has performed as a soloist in musical productions throughout Greece (Herodeion, Athens and Thessaloniki Concert Halls, Onassis Cultural Center…), as well as in concerts and festivals across Europe (Punkt Festival, Big Bang Festival) and in the U.S. Since 2021, he has been conducting the Intercultural Choir of the Greek National Opera.

🔶 Performer, visual artist, writer, curator, and filmmaker Giorgos Efthimiou works in the realms of the paradoxical, the punk, and poetic melodrama. He describes himself more as an outcast than an artist. He has completed more than 40 films and videos, which have been presented at festivals and venues around the world (Oberhausen, Jihlava, Leiden, Weiterstadt…).
