{"id":4518,"date":"2026-01-09T08:52:43","date_gmt":"2026-01-09T08:52:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/polychorosket.gr\/?post_type=events&#038;p=4518"},"modified":"2026-01-26T19:29:34","modified_gmt":"2026-01-26T19:29:34","slug":"three-times-three-426-en","status":"publish","type":"events","link":"https:\/\/polychorosket.gr\/en\/events\/three-times-three-426-en\/","title":{"rendered":"Three Times Three #4"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The monthly event \u201c<strong>Three Times Three<\/strong>\u201d brings together artists from the fields of&nbsp;<strong>contemporary dance<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>experimental music<\/strong>, with the aim of creating a common code of communication that remains in effect for the duration of the meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Three musicians meet three dancers each time. At the beginning of the evening, three random pairs are formed by drawing lots, and they improvise for 15 minutes. The evening closes with a 30-minute collective improvisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThree Times Three\u201d&nbsp;is curated by composer<strong>&nbsp;Spyros Polychronopoulos&nbsp;<\/strong>(Spyweirdos).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The fourth event of the season features<strong>\u00a0<strong>Xenia Stathouli<\/strong><\/strong> (dance), <strong>Aliki Georgiou <\/strong>(dance), <strong>Eva Georgitsopoulou <\/strong>(dance), <strong>Vasiliki Legaki <\/strong>(electronics), <strong>Mikes Sakelliou<\/strong> (clarinet) and <strong>Vanessa Kourtesi<\/strong> (vocals).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udd37 <strong>Xenia Stathouli<\/strong> is professionally active in dance and teaching contemporary dance, modern dance, hip hop, floor acrobatics, and capoeira. She choreographed the solo &#8220;Nerti&#8221; for the 28th Kalamata International Festival, with which she also participated in AVDP 13.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udd37 Dancer and performer <strong>Aliki Georgiou <\/strong>has participated in dance and theater performances at festivals such as the Athens &amp; Epidaurus Festival and the Rokkas Festival. Her practice focuses on improvisation as a tool for live composition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udd37 Dancer and choreographer<strong> Eva Georgitsopoulou <\/strong>is a graduate of the State School of Dance and a former member of the Aerites dance company. Since 2019, she has been collaborating with the Sasha Waltz &amp; Guests group. Her work focuses on the female body as a subject of contemporary reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udd37 <strong>Vasiliki Legaki<\/strong> is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Music Studies at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Her research and compositional work focus on the spatiality of the musical experience. She is active in areas ranging from symphonic and chamber music to acoustic music and sound installations. She is co-founder and artistic director of the Processes Festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udd37 <strong>Mikes Sakelliou<\/strong> is a composer of electroacoustic music, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist with an emphasis on musical theater. He has composed and performed live music for dance and musical theater productions. He is the co-founder and artistic director of the Processes Festival. He studied jazz clarinet at the California Institute of the Arts and music production at the London College of Music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udd37 Musician, composer-songwriter, and singer <strong>Vanessa Kourtesi <\/strong>draws inspiration from Eastern Mediterranean traditions, improvisation, ambient, and jazz. In 2022, she released an EP and, in 2023, an album with the band Merem. Her first solo album will be released in 2026.
