They enable a more intimate encounter with art and foster collaboration, building lasting hubs for the city\u2019s artistic communities and bridges to international networks. These spaces do more than host concerts: they create an atmosphere of vigilance, focused attention, and collective presence, embracing the risk of each new venture and approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Defending these spaces means preserving a different way of listening and a unique cultural experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As the city transforms under the pressure of the real estate market and the tourism boom, independent venues face ever-increasing costs and little to no institutional support. Today, preserving spaces for artistic experimentation and free expression, outside commercial logic, is more necessary than ever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The expA\u0418D programme unfolds over two days and four venues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first day (Saturday 6 June) begins at Stress.Studio, in Exarcheia, from 20:00 to 21:00. The festival then moves to Underflow, in Koukaki, from 22:00 to 23:00.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The second day (Sunday 7 June) is the most intense and the most unusual in terms of timing. Ov Off Studio, in Ampelokipi, hosts two separate events: a morning session, from 06:00 to 07:30, and an afternoon session, from 20:00 to 21:00. Vanger)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>1. \u201cCYBORGUTT 2.0\u201d \u2014 f\u00f8<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The performance \u201cCYBORGUTT 2.0\u201d is the result of research into the connection between queer theory, cyborg bodies, and the field of music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By recording the sounds produced by the body with the help of an electronic stethoscope, f\u00f8 creates a soundscape that narrates its fluid identity within a system of binary perceptions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Breathing, heartbeats, stomach sounds, and brain waves provide a rhythmic backdrop and define the structure through biosensors, making the process of creation and performance transcendent and meditative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25c6<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>f\u00f8<\/strong> (<strong>Fotis Rovolis<\/strong>) studied architecture and electroacoustic composition. Exploring electronic music production and blurring the boundaries between sound and space, his works take the form of installations and soundscapes. IMPRO \u2014 Viki Steiri \u2022 Marissa Bili \u2022 Petrina Giannakou \u2022 Petros Kolotouros \u2022 Jeph Vanger<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25c6<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Viki Steiri <\/strong>is a composer, cellist, pianist and interdisciplinary artist with an interest in experimental electroacoustic music, composition for film, installations, performance, and free improvisation. Her first solo LP Balm was released in 2024 (Alien Jams\/Rekem Records). She is a member of the music\/art band Ectopia and has collaborated with artists including Monster Chetwynd, Iggor Cavalera, Saint Abdullah, Maeve Brennan, Eleni Ikoniadou. She has performed at the ICA, Cafe OTO (London), KW (Berlin), Le Guess Who? festival (Utrecht), New Museum (NY), Borderline (Athens), among others. She is based between Athens and London.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25c6<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vocal artist <strong>Marissa Bili<\/strong> moves between performance and composition. She studied classical singing at the State Conservatory of Tyrol (Innsbruck) and subsequently focused on free vocal improvisation, extended vocal techniques, and vocal traditions from around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She has performed at events such as the Borderline Festival (Onassis Stegi, 2023), the Waves Festival (Vienna, 2024), and From Voice to Noise (Goethe-Institut, 2024).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25c6<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Petrina Giannakou<\/strong> graduated from the \u201cRallou Manou\u201d Higher Professional School of Dance. She also studied at the Dance School of the Greek National Opera and at the training program of the State School of Dance, and continued her studies on a scholarship at the Nod International Dance Program (Turin).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She has attended workshops with prominent choreographers and has collaborated with artists such as Christos Papadopoulos, Patricia Apergi, and Ella Rothschild. She has presented the solo works <em>There is a place<\/em> and <em>There is a place \/ Rain<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In recent years, she has collaborated with Siamese Cie on the production Lamenta, which has been presented at major European festivals and theaters (Festival d\u2019Avignon, Athens &amp; Epidaurus Festival). She also teaches children and adults.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25c6<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Audiovisual artist<strong> Petros Kolotouros <\/strong>explores the sensory possibilities of combining image and sound. He has directed music videos, video dance works, and video art, as well as projections for music concerts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Documentaries he has directed or served as director of photography for have won awards at international festivals in Greece and abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He is a drummer in two active bands and a graduate of the master\u2019s program \u201cCulture and Documentary Film Production\u201d at the University of the Aegean, as well as the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Patras.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In both music and film, he applies and explores the concept of free improvisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25c6<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Jeph Vanger<\/strong> (b. 1989, Athens) is a sound artist and electronic music composer working across performing arts and sound installations.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His work has been supported by ARTWORKS (Stavros Niarchos Foundation), Arts Council England, and Help Musicians UK, and in May 2021, he served as Composer in Residence at EMS Elektronmusikstudion in Stockholm.
