Obverse is an anachronistic take on the story of Genesis and The Original Sin, showcasing Eve as the first sacrificial lamb of knowledge. The interesting aspect of the story of Genesis and The Original Sin (if taken much more allegorically) is that it will always be relevant in any given epoch. We are all victims drawn by a grander design towards unavoidable evils within our given time.<\/p>\n

The way this is approached in the performance is through using mirrors. Mirrors are unavoidable, reflective and powerful. Much like the forbidden fruit, when faced with a mirror, you cannot help but look, and what you will find may be the full truth, a fragment or a complete lie. But knowledge is power and will always be the ultimate weapon. Therefore, whether you see the truth, or a lie, it will have a hold of you, and that is the biggest evil of all.<\/p>\n
