KET is hosting the reading of the new play by scottish writer\/filmmaker Billy MacKinnon, titled SHRINK. The reading will take place in the greek language.<\/p>\n

Billy MacKinnon<\/p>\n
Billy MacKinnon has written or produced four internationally successful feature films, and story edited\/consulted many more, including Jane Campion\u2019s Oscar-winning \u2018The Piano\u2019. Among his clients are BBC films, Australian Film Commission, Joint Venture Zurich, Gaumont and CIBY2000 Paris, MDF Leipzig, Scottish Screen, British Film Institute, and Jan Chapman productions, Sydney. He has garnered numerous international writing awards including best European feature film (Rotterdam Tiger) and best British feature film (Edinburgh). He has served as an academic editor in social anthropology for the Max Planck Institute and Humboldt University Berlin, and traveled and worked extensively in Australia, Europe, Africa. His most recent feature film \u2018Dawn\u2019, based on the novel by Nobel Laureate Elie Weisel, was shot in Tel Aviv and Zurich, and premiered 2016 at Geneva, Washington, and Houston film festivals. In addition, he has worked as poet\/songwriter for numerous international performance art\/dance groups in Zurich, Berlin, and Seoul. His present feature film is set in Cameroon and planned for production late 2019, funded from Bern\/Geneva. A collection of his poetry \u2018A Street in Athens\u2019 (150pgs, English\/Greek) is published by Biblioteque Publications,Exarchia, Athens.. He is currently resident in Athens and Berlin.<\/p>\n
