Stefan Schneider, Pinna Bounce and Lefteris Theodosis present “Phono-Bau” as part of the Transfer International program, commemorating the 100 years since the founding of the innovative Bauhaus School. It is a musical performance that begins by exploring Bauhaus’s relationship with music. It is inspired by two experimental projects by L\u00e1szl\u00f3 Moholy-Nagy. After all, “Phono-Bau” is an experimental musical dialogue that uses ideas from the modern as well as extracts from the discussions of the three artists about the events that marked the interwar period in Europe. After the performance there will be a DJ set by the three artists.<\/p>\n

Stefan Schneider
\nHaving studied photography with professor Bernd Becher at the Kunstakademie in D\u00fcsseldorf, Stefan Schneider began working as a music producer in 1994. He is a founding member of Kreidler and To Rococo Rot while collaborating with artists such as Joachim Roedelius (Cluster), Dieter (Cluster), Klaus Dinger (Kraftwerk, Neu!), Hauschka, Katharina Grosse, and John McEntire (Tortoise). He is active musically as Mapstation and he is also the founder of the record label TAL.

Pina Bounce
\nPina Bounce lives and works in Athens as a musician, DJ and architect. Her musical work, group or solo, since 2001, includes theater, cinema, sound installations, concert venues, and discography. It explores improvisation, composition, deconstruction of sound forms, and the creation of sound spaces and narratives. Most of her work can be found in the two main team\u00a0Drog_A_Tek and Minimaximum Improvision and in the solo Pin(n)a Bounce project.

Lefteris Theodosis
\nHaving studied classical guitar and architecture, Lefteris Theodosis’s work includes research and art projects that examine (or are inspired by) the many-sided relationship of sound and space as it develops within specific historical contexts.
